This is my Fleece Artist kit and I can't wait to start. It will make either Mittens or socks but as spring is just around the corner, I will go for the Socks. Wish me luck!!

I have finally completed my Irish Walking scarf.
It was a great starter pattern for those of us who want to get familiar with simple cables. This began as my "knitting olympics" project but then I decided that I really wanted it longer than planned.
My goal this spring is to reduce my pile of unfinished projects - 2 pairs of socks, 1 sweater, 2 shawls, and 1 ruana (more info on this to follow). Wish me luck.

Since there are no humans at home tonight I would like to present my dog, Outlaw, modelling my newly completed Irish Walking scarf. Aren't they handsome.

My niece, Connie, is expecting twins in June. I wanted to knit something special for her. We began a group at work that was making "Comfort shawls" or "prayer shawls". The concept is that while you are working on the project, you think good thoughts about the person you are making the shawl for. Then when you present them with the gift, all those good wishes will be knit into it. I just love this idea. (Now the only hitch, is that anyone who knows me will understand that my strong point is beginning and not finishing projects, so wish me luck.)

Here is a pair of "self-patterning" socks. Such small needles, I don't know if I will ever be finished, but Wow, what a rush to see the pattern develop. I'm using Fortissima Socka yarn with a pattern from Paton's website. You need to sign up to get patterns but it's free.

I have a primary Blog called Ragged Point Rant and I decided to put together another blog to highlight the other passion of my life - Knitting , Crocheting and other needlework. I have been knitting since I was 12 and have recently found a whole world of knitting fanatics through the internet. I hope to link you up with them here.
I find the creativity of working with yarn amazing and have tried to infect as many people as possible. I'll post some pictures of my projects (finished as well as "in progress") along with some of my favourite pattern books.
